didnt need to buy the sony's just cuz they fit the best, if your having it professionally done they could have made brackets/rings to fit any speaker size you wanted, but other than the sonys it should sound nice

Retrofit, bull bar, hellas and color matched grill.

The Pdx line of amps are very efficient and compact. Im guessing you dont know nothing about car audio or alpine.

Edit: When are you planning to instal everything?

Yeah, I think I'm going to return them and get the MM651 to round out the Polk speakers. That was the original plan, but Crutchfield had me doubting they'd fit. These are buy 1 get one 1/2 off too.

I'll have it installed when I have all the equipment and I can get an estimate from a couple places. I'm waiting for the supercrewsound box to come in still.

There are other options for compact, I think you're better off using JL HD amps or those little JBL amps than the PDX Alpine amps.

I also agree that the Sony Xplod stuff is lacking and I'd look for other options.

Just installed a PDX-5 in my car. Have Focal 165a1's in the front and Focal 691's in back. Also a cheaper sub. I know it might be an apples to oranges comparison. But it sounds great and so much better clarity. The sub does'nt pound hard like a seperate sub amp would. But hits where it should and rounds out the music nicely. The best prices I found were on ebay and Amazon. I know subthump.com makes a nice custom sub box for the 2nd gen Tacoma for a good price.

*walks in very late to the thread* :turtleride:

How did the supercrew box and the 10W3 work out? Were you able to play it with the seat up? I was looking at the 10TW3 but if the W3 can fit that would be less of a compromise and cheaper with better power handling? Thanks
