What the fuck. My state just got its legality to use supressors, now every dipshit kid is grabbing their guns and off'ing themselves.

I'm going to be pissed if they change firearm laws for the worse. We are so close to allowing SBR's

Many more kids kill themselves with what's under the sink every year than with guns. However, just as you shouldn't leave poison lying under the sink for the kids to drink, you shouldn't leave a loaded gun under a car seat with no adult in the car either.

Edit: Why anyone would leave a toddler and an infant in a car while pumping gas is beyond me anyway, my folks always told us "out of the car" when it was being filled.

Here in Oregon we stay in our cars while the attendant pumps the gas. I would think it would be safer for small children to be in the car than take the chance of getting run over by cars going in and out of the gas station. What was the reasoning behind your folks telling you to get out of the car?

I lived in Oregon for ten years and always got out of my truck when they were pumping the gas. In most states (besides OR and NJ) where you pump your own gas there is a sign that tells you not to get back into your car while fueling. I can agree with this as I've touched the side of my truck and received a static shock several times. It's rare, but this can cause a fire.
