Put some money down for my 07 Black Sand Taco TRD sprts package V6 with the 6 speed manual...being built as we speak hopefully...supposed to be a rare one cause I think V6 Sport package they try to push in auto only, but you can order it. The dealer told me there is only 5 in the US...

Nice truck, welcome to TW. I got the same thing about the 6 speed when I ordered mine, although I did end up having to wait four months for my truck so I guess they were telling the truth. Hope you don't have to wait as long, but even if you do it's worth it.

Nice choice! I have the exact same truck, and love it!!!! Thats odd how they are so rare in the states, I didn't have to wait for mine at all, they had one on the lot already. I have seen two like mine in Calgary.

None currently, but I would like a better sounding exhaust and perhaps a cold air pack and some color coded step bars
Welcome, the only reason its rare( more or less) is because the dealer ordered auto's instead of 6spd's. My dealer showed me how many V6 Taco's were auto's versus 6spd.
They do order more auto's than standard shift and they carry the rational that many people don't want standards. Plus they would love to have you buy from there inventory rather than order.

the prick at the dealership was trying to sell me the auto, obviously. But it was still more expensive then if I were to build the 6sp. Easy desicion!

I ordered a Crew Cab Manual Tran V6 4x4 Offroad and Tow Package Indigo Ink. Also tough to find - although I don't know how tough. I am replacing my 04 Titan with this truck and am adding aftermarket leather (once you've had leather its hard to go back to cloth). Very excited, just wish TRD would come out with a supercharger. Dealer estimated a month for it to come in.

Congrads on the great purchase and welcome to TW!

I must be the only person who was happy to go back to cloth. I had leather on my last SUV and hated it! My back sweat like a dog in the summer and it was cold as hell in the winter. Cloth feels so good to me I would drive naked.

Yeah, I like my cloth seats too, but I don't think the world is ready to see me drive naked. Tinted windows, here I come!

I have to agree with the cloth group, leather may be wonderful, but it is hot in the summer and if you don't have heated seats in the winter its terrible. I jumped in my truck this morning at 5:20am and it was 3 degrees and although the truck was cold inside the seats were comfortable and my bottom was a heck of a lot better than my 96 Monte Carlo Z-34.

Good points on the leather - luckily I'm in San Diego so no worries on the cold temperature and where I am it doesn't usually get real hot either - plus I have a dog and its way easier to keep leather clean. Either way I am stoked about the new truck and not having to deal with the nightmare quality issues with my Nissan.

Good to hear from a previous Nissan owner that I made the right decision on the Taco. I almost bought a Frontier but the dealer wanted to give me coins for my trade-in. Turned my back and walked away. Turned out to be a good thing.

I almost got a Frontier because the 2006's had better MPG than the 2006 Tacoma. Toyota brought that up in 2007, and I got more truck with Tacoma. I love my 007! :D
