For those of you that answered a Toyota Tacoma, I’ll give you that one. This last Saturday I picked up a 2011 Tacoma Prerunner TRD, OffRoad, 4x2, double cab, in Pyrite Mica. So far I love it, but it’s going to kill me if I keep up what I have been doing.

Let me explain, the car I had before this was a 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe. Although I had a great time with that car, there’s not much you can do with it but drive. I had a lot of fun driving it and in 5 years only picked up 1 ticket (and the limiter at 152 does work). But it was time to move on and put away the toys and get back to a more functional vehicle.

Now that I have a truck I can take care of all those jobs I have been putting off the last 5 years. After moving around a few things I was able to get the truck to fit in my garage. It was obvious I needed to make a trip to the dump to get rid of all that stuff that had piled up. Since I was going to the dump I might as well take a full load and get a few other jobs done around the house. I was planning on replacing the floor in the bathroom so now was a good time to finish that job. It seems that I can never do just one job around the house. To replace the floor I had to remove the toilet and since the floor and toilet were out of the room it was a good time to paint the room. So off to Home Depot and it sure makes life easier with a truck hauling a new toilet and paint. I’m trying to finish that job today so I can start work in the yard. I have three trees to trim and a wall of ivy that needs knocked down. After all that’s done it’s back to the dump. I want to finish all that up before this Saturday because I am going shooting with my brother. It will be the first chance to take my new truck off road; I am really looking forward to it.

Luckily I am off work this week, because the first week owning a Tacoma will really be a busy one. My To Do list just got much longer.

Sorry for the long post but I was killing time waiting for the paint to dry and now it’s time to get back to work. And to think I had nothing planned until I bought this truck.
