No there not, rain is not "hard" it's acid rain and the glass is etched. I have had this on many many vehicles over the years, my 99 Tahoe is my worst so far I have used my buffer with aggressive pads and componds the best I have done is lighten it slightly.

I don't recall saying that that was rain water. Pretty sure you just presumed that was what I meant. From the looks of it, I would bet he washes the car in direct sunlight and maybe does not do a good job drying the glass.

I will not say that you can get it off. But as a professional detailer and paint correction expert, I can(in most cases, there are no absolutes).

*2 on the Zaino. Used it to remove marks left on a windshield by an neighbor's errant bottle rocket one July 4th. Takes some elbow grease, though unless you are brave enough to run a buffer...

Try Bug and Tar remover on the paint. Make sure you wax it after you are done.

Can't claim anything, bought from Fish08 and leaving it like it sits. Perfect!
Use Wink Rust and Stain remover with a microfiber cloth. It's Safe on your clear and will get the spots right off. It is for removing hard water spots by design. I have been using it for years on all of my vehicles. It doesn't take much. Send me a PM if you need more info. Shane

By the time he's bought all of these products...I'm guessing he could have just replaced the window. Hahaha
