Just finished installing curt hitch, trailer light T harness and Peragon bed cover on my 2018 4by4. All great products especially like the Peragon bed cover.

That's my experimental RV3 160mph on 108hp. I used my heated hangar to work on truck last couple days. The Peragon bed cover is a great product. Better than the cover I put on my older Toyota truck which I traded in on the 2018.

Here is a couple more photos of my RV3. For anyone not familiar it's s single seat homebuilt by Vans aircraft. I didn't build it but bought without engine and installed my engine. Cruises at 160mph and gets about 25 miles per gallon.

The hangar is at our local airport. The city leases the land to the hangar owners for about 300 per year. My hangar was actually built by the city as a four hangar complex then sold to individual owners. My portion of the metal building is 40 by 40. The heat pump was installed by previous owner.

    ddsrph,
    Great looking experimental aircraft.

I've been looking at metal roll ups/fold ups and came across the Peragon website. The fact I can elect color matched was an option few companies offer. So, two questions:
    1. Does the locking mechanism being closer to the rear drivers door vs the tailgate become a bit of an irritant after the new wears off?
    2. When driving off road or on cobble stone type streets/roads cause lot of "rattling" noise from the Peragon cover?
    I appreciate your time, cheers

    Bob

Did you have to drill into the bed for the peragon install?

No drilling required and install went quickly just using instruction sheet. So far no rattles. The locking mechanism location won't be a problem for me. I got the double rod option which has a rod latching into both sides of truck. If you were in a area where locking and unlocking often was required it could be a bit of trouble due to location. I probably won't even need to lock mine most of the time. I like the sturdy construction and it looks great on the truck.
It just occurred to me concerning the lock location is you open the cover by pushing down in the lock area. So you will be at the key location to open cover locked or unlocked.

Being a two place I guess you have it registered as a light sport?
I always thought the ultralight category should have had a bigger empty wt allowance. Did you build it?

That is a very nice cover. I just recently got the 2018 TRD OR DCSB too and have been looking for the right tonneau cover to put on. Then I recently came across the Peragon. Surprisingly they are not mainstream as other covers, but definitely hearing a lot of great reviews.

One question i did want to ask was does the cover lock in position? or Is there only 2 option (fully open and fully closed)?

No it's got a Lycoming 0235C1B from a Piper Colt.
About the Peragon cover. It is lockable and is kept either opened or closed. Once you push down on cover near cab it opens all the way by gravity. You can then if desired push a tab and completely remove cover from truck.
