Yeah, I'm thinking a little time off for me before I start a full out search. Been working full time for 36 years. I'm not rushing back to a job that pays half of what I'm making now. I really only need to work for about 5 or 6 more years and I'll be able to retire for good.

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
I now officially have something lined up. But I have a trial period. So hopefully I'll be good to go. Ironically, I have more freelance work than I can currently handle and none of it I actually applied for. I went from nothing to suddenly getting this deluge of emails and phone calls. Either that's coincidental or the economy 'might' be turning around. Most of the work is ad work and companies tend to cut down on their marketing campaigns when things are bad. Looks like that is starting to pick up.

What do you mean? Didn't you hear? The Dow Jones went back above 10,000. The recession is over and people aren't getting fired anymore!

Or so the media and banker-owned scumsuckers in DC would have us believe.

some good points, however you can indeed blame those folks in power who have consistently empowered the federal gov't to manipulate the market. Were there not room for more workers in a particular industry, the market would have indicated such....however seeing as we no longer have a true free market, its to be expected.

I am also in the process of seeking a new employment....best of luck to everyone, especially those with families!
