That sucks man! Just curious, what kind of problems did you have with your Nissan Versa? I work for a Nissan store here in BC, and its good to know these things. I've sold hundreds of Versas and haven't had any major complaints - so far!

The pictures in everybody's avatar is to show support for Bill & Michelle. Their handle here is "Longbow." Michelle has been fighting cancer & it's been rough for their family. Do a search & you can find a thread named "Need prayers more than ever now" that explains the whole deal. We're all rooting for them to fight this insidious disease. :)

    Hi,

Well first of all, I bought one of the first Versa's off of the production line. Red SL with a CVT. I had lots of small issues with it like.........
    http://forums.nissanversa.org/zerothread/321320

But now I am at 151 and it seems all the small issues are dealt with! I still have a "klunk" when I turn right and they are looking into it!

Other then that, I love the room it has and all the options it came with.

None currently, but I would like a better sounding exhaust and perhaps a cold air pack and some color coded step bars
Driving instructor, perhaps you could have them call the area rep and let him decide whether they should fix it or not. Might be worth the effort.

With regards to your oil level, let it sit overnight and check it first thing, my "stick" on my 06, V6 , 6spd always read a bit different than I figure it should. Oil is slow to return to the pan.
So I let it sit overnight , nice and level, and it was right on the money.
    Jeff ,06,V6 , SR5 , 6spd bone stock, still

The correct oil level checking procedure should be shown in the owner's manual. If that's not giving the correct level after a service I'd go wave that manual in the dealer's face a bit.

I bought an extended warranty, and it's supposed to cover "the entire electrical system", except light bulbs. It doesn't mention LCD displays or LED displays, but those things are definately not light bulbs IMO. They are "instruments" and those are covered. A compass or thermometer is just as much an instrument as the speedometer or fuel gage is.

But of course your warranty may vary from mine

    Soon....
Man, this makes me thankful for my nearest dealership. I have been in there a few times, mainly getting my mom's H-lander's oil changed...they are always very nice to work with.
That might explain all of the awards and trophys they have in a big cabinet in their showroom...

I'm not sure if someone pointed out that the display problem is an easy fix.
    It's happened before.

Somewhere inside there is a wire that is poorly soldered or loose.

Might not be the same issue you have but worth a try?

I'll see if I can find the thread, for the fix!
