Just ordered 5100s, aal, coil. Carrier bearing drop advised?

    Hey Ya'll! so finally I ordered Bilstein 5100s coil adjustable all four corners, 2" aal, and eibach coil.

    I know it is recomended to get the differential drop spacer. (i'm definately doing that)

    But would anyone also recomend the carrier bearing drop kit as well?

    The reason I ask is because i've realized a lot of talk about vibrations and/or noises from persons who have lifted... I figure if it would improve my chances of eliminating these issues i would just put the kit in at the same time i install the lift

    Any thoughts?

    4.10 gears, sliders, lots of buttons, and yellow flashing lights on the dash.
    The Diff drop spacer doesnt do anything, and in many cases, makes things worse. Research before you throw parts at your truck.

    I've done extensive research...

    Why would it not be a good thing to reduce the angle on the joints by installing the differential drop? Most places I've seen recomend it at a 3" or higher drop...

    What about the carrier bearing drop? that would decrease the steepness of the angle on the drive shaft.

    The Diff drop simply lowers the rear protion of the diff. The amount of actual "drop" it gives the CV's is negligible. Most vibes are caused by impropper torque values being used when installing the lift components.

    Where did you find that out about the torque values?

    Its something I have found after installing lifts on a dozen (or more) of these trucks. None of the lifts I have installed have ever had vibes. or needed any diff drops, or CB drops.

    Do you have a pdf or something that discloses the recomended torque values?

    Are those values the same for a 2011 or atleast close enough to be "negligible"?

    How did you go with this? Did checking the torque settings help the vibes at all?

    3" lift, Tundra wheels with BFG ATKO's, Viper Remote starter TRD Supercharger
    Installing the diff drop definitely made my vibes better on my second taco (2010)and the dr diff bearing didnt wear out till around 30k while on the taco without the diff drop (2008) the dr diff bearing was totally shot at 14k miles...both were running the exact same lift of stock coils with billies set at the highest setting with a 3" AAL in the back. I'd consider doing as much research as possible before making a decision...just my $.02 :)
