Great bike for a first timer and for commuting. I've wanted one since they came out. The Ninja (in the US) isn't EFI and this bike is. I've come to hate carbs and chokes. Even though I ride a 1000, I still want that 250 as a daily runner just for the fuel savings alone! I'm surprised it was that cheap in Hawaii. Here? They are asking full MSRP and by the time you get to the OTD price, it's over $5k!!!

Great choice for a first bike ! Light and easy to learn on.Just remember to respect it..or it'll teach you things you never thought you'd learn..I learned to fly on my first bike ( deer about 55 mph :( )

Honda's been making small sportbikes for quite a while, they just didn't import them. They make a nice little CBR150 in Thailand for example.

The CRB250 gets great reviews and should keep you happy for a while. I've actually thought about picking up one to play with around town.

Rides ok, I weigh around 180 or so, she is 132, so its not too bad, but you can really feel the difference, however then again, i have nothing to compare it too as i have never been on another bike...

That's an awesome bike congrats. Honda makes a fantastic product and the CBR line is venerable. Enjoy, be safe and have fun. :kona:

Also, a couple good forums: 1000rr.net and cbrjunkie.com. lots of good info and decent classifieds!
