Just purchased 2016 TRD OR and now creating a list to go over before delievery. Did I miss anything?

Hi All,

Have been lurking around for some time but decided to take the leap yesterday and put a down payment on a 2016 TRD OR SB in metallic grey. Had an 08 Wrangler previously and the Taco seemed to be the obvious choice.

Looking at the common issues with the trucks I wanted to make a list of things to review with the dealer before delivery.

-Check ATF Fluid
-Grease U-Joints
-Check sunroof rails/seals
-Check for tonneau cover foam seals (62541-04010 and 62542-04010)
-Check diff fluid (thanks Splitbolt)
-Check driveline vibration (thanks Scottalot)

I also plan on checking the U-bolts on the rear axle when I do finally get it home. Please let me know if there is anything else to add and look forward to both the truck and being active on the site. Thanks!

 

Will definitely test drive before I take delivery and check for this. Thanks for the heads up

OP maybe you should see if you can find a 15 Taco and save yourself from headaches?

If I was thinking about a new truck I would wait to see if they address these problems or get one with the manual transmission or look at an F150. I would not take the leap at this point with all the complaints and Toyota in denial mode.

Differentials and transfer case fluid.

 

Make sure the test drive is a very long one with no salesperson in there distracting you!
