Has anyone got this TSB done yet and what were the results? My son sent me a YouTube vid on it. Yota is saying it eliminated throttle stalling, hesitation AND the hunting! I will believe it when I see it.
Yota did recently send me a followup questions to the survey I submitted after I bought the truck and slammed them on the shift programing, maybe they actually listened.

There is several threads on this, some have seen improvement others haven't. I got the 0058-12 TSB update (which apparently is the same as 0062-18) and it seems like there is more available power. I also notice the truck shifts easier and throttle response is improved. Good luck

You been hiding under a rock or evading the law for the past few weeks? Lol!

Just skim through that thread and you will see many people are very satisfied with the update.

Had it done yesterday and was very impressed . Smooth shifts , no more gear hunting , holds gear longer going up hill . Better mpg’s .. if you don’t have it done make a appointment and get it done even if your out of warranty .

Mixed? Seems improvement is a landslide over neutral or negative comments.

The neg comments are mostly from people who bought the ovtune . I would be salty to if I paid 1,000 to fix it then toyota sends out a free fix for it

Got this done today when dealer mounted my tires. Such a great improvement. Shifts so much smoother now.

Got it done to mine and I run BFG KO2’s with one size larger than stock and it improved the truck to the point I LIKE DRIVING IT! 100% worth it. I agree, the haters are probably just upset the rest of us can now enjoy the truck without a custom tune.

    What is a VDS code?

Never mind... It’s in the VIN!

So what do I say to the dealer to get them to do this? It has been in for a scheduled maintenance since the date on this TSB, and I specifically asked them to check if there are any bulletins for the truck and they said there aren't. I don't live at high altitude, but obviously the majority of the people who had it done aren't at high altitude either.

I just got home from the dealer. I told hom i wanted the tsb for the shifting. You need to be specific when asking. I looked at my receipt and they did a 0058-18 tsb for 40-50 mph issues, have to call and go back for the 0062-18. 25-45 mph is much better but I still get a little of the stall after descending a grade and acceleration

Both 58 and 62 TSB’s are the same , you wont need to go back.

update or no update, these trucks have a mind of there own, fine one day, does something goofy the next, 100 trucks made ,the same day at the same factory, and they are all differant,, never used to be like that. last update made me happy, love the cement PRO, 23000 MILES...

Well I have to say this upgrade didn’t do much at all if anything. It may even be worse. If I try to gradually throttle pedal movement around 45 ish mph, it takes 2/3 pedal travel then the throttle goes almost WO throwing you back in the seat. Never have I seen a design so bad. Probably going to be a futile fight with dealer. Contemplating going to a v8 modeltruck.
