That's where the VVTi kicks in.. notice on stock the torque and HP actually drops and then turns up. With the K&N filter which is also in the TRD intake we get better throttle response (no drop on curves) and we can see the improvement right there on the graph and butt dyno confirmed. Just sayin...

I know everyone on this forum is adiment that CAIs do not improve power or torque, have you noticed any differences?

That's because the stock intake is a CAI by definition

Okay then, does a "high flow filter" cause any noticeable power increase over the stock filter?

You have a NA engine that is cpu controlled. You aren't going to gain anything without a tune.
We've been around and around about this before. The stock airbox is a very good design. A drop in filter would offer the same "gains" (aka sound) you experience from the hundreds of dollars intake.

Yes should work on stock box it's a replacement part for one that's already there just has a different shape (conical) on the outside of the fender hole.

This nay saying stuff has been beat to death... post real world dyno tests and still nay sayers..... whom don't have the PAI (performance air intake).

I can say this to the nay sayers... purchase one off Amazon and try it send it back if not satisfied and then post about the results... heck even go get a dyno test and post your "proof" and then send it back. just sayin..

The only way I could see this thing working, is if stock design is a bottleneck, and undersized for the engine to the point where it is actually choking it down. Otherwise, if not, the only benefits you get from this is you are able to reuse the filter and you get a nice throatier sound from the engine.

Really? I am thinking of purchasing this for the sound alone, but tell me where I can get a drop in that'll do the same.

Dyno tests are not absolute. All tests have a margin of error. This margin of error results in slightly different results from test to test. So guess how these companies prove their gains?
They run multiple tests without the product and take the lowest result. Then they install the equipment, run multiple tests, then take the highest result. BAM! Proven gains all within the test's margin of error.
