When has a MT ever made the exhaust/intake noise sound different?

So a large company distorts test info to sell products?? Hmmm that's interesting specially being anyone can go to a local performance shop and get a dyno test. Wouldn't that large company then open themselves up to criticism based on facts and not hearsay or BS? just sayin....

Are you suggesting that a "large company" wouldn't distort some dyno sheets to sell product? HAHAHAHAHAH. Wake up, my man. Every company in America skews their numbers, financial reports, marketing, etc. It's all a part of the game. Don't try and fight it, just be aware of it and see through it.

Yeah everyone cheats and steals... specially companies that have been in business for 30+ years and are race track used and proven.

For me, when guys strap shit on an engine and take it to the track... that's real world right there... there's a lot of race cars running K&N air filters... not just because they got them free... No free part would get to the track unless worthy. Along with cheating and stealing NOBODY likes to be a looser!

because your in the higher RPM more while shifting, unlike the auto that will keep you in the lowest RPM possible for MPG.....

I'm sorry that you don't know how to drive an auto. In ECT mode, mine shifts as high as I want it too. If I'm feeling squirrely, the S modes are further control.

disclaimer - I wanted a MT, TRD OR AC, but they don't sell them in the US. I'm not about to drive a 4 door dad truck. So I make the auto modes work for me.

your right, im very sorry for not learning how to drive an automatic, my sincere apologies. All i did was comment that the truck would probably sound good with a stick and that some how offended you. Take a chill pill, im here to learn about the trucks. If i wanted a lesson on driving an automatic i would have asked for it. Thank you

Sounds great and looks good, not sure why people are so negative. The intake isn't on your truck. Let the man enjoy his mod and if others like it too then thanks to him for taking time to share it.

I like this intake. End of the day its only a intake, but I always like a little increased airflow. I always ran dry filters, I like being able to clean them quick. Not to over priced either for this intake. Tax money is coming bahahaha.

I'm gonna pull the trigger on this. Just heard a couple videos of the MBRP exhaust with a K&N intake and it doesn't sound bad at all.

no way an intake.. especially from K&N wil offer 15hp + 13lb torque without a tune.. that alone is a lie.. especially on a NA engine like ours.

Like I've said on every intake thread before. Someone go buy one. Do a few baseline dyno runs and the same day, install the intake and do another set of dyno runs. My previous vehicle was claimed to make around 50whp after my tune and headers. I registered closer to 40 whp after dynoing it before and after. And this was for a vehicle who had a v8 crammed into a 4 cylinder engine bay and headers were a major bottle neck. Not for a truck with an efficient intake already.

No one here has EVER done that with any aftermarket or even TRD dynos. Everyone just shows a picture of the manufacturer's dyno claim lol.
