Not sure what "aftermarket or even TRD Dynos." even means bro....

Who friggin cares.. more sound = improved butt dyno results and Bro. Everyone knows that, specially the BroHo's and that's whats really important.

If it sounds faster, its actually faster. Problem solved.

Intake is for engine noise pure and simple. I came from a v8 that roared and my Tacoma sounds about like a car when you get on it. Worth every penny to sound like the beast it is

    all tore up already
Checkout the times of the runs the temps and humidity. Thats no coincidence they ran one when they got to work and ran the 2nd comparison 6 hours later when it was more than 15 degrees hotter with less humidity. Think it really took the engineers that long to swap? Or more likely they ran 100000 dyno runs and picked the best for them and worst for stock truck. And higher airflow often comes at a price... and i dont mean however many hundred they get you for this kit.

Beer lunch??? Usually the dyno chart has the ambient temps .. either way the engine gets REAL hot sitting still at redline. Could be why the wait ... let the engine cool down and beer. Also any dyno shop will have a huge fan to keep the air flowing...which helps results as well.

But what's odd is that many shops dyno with the hood open. Wouldn't it be more accurate (still not 100% due to stock regulated ecu) if it was dynoed with the hood closed and big fan blowing? Who drives with their hood open on pubic streets/roads?

I normally take my hood right off for maximum air flow on the streets

Yeah but then my TRD performance intake won't be "optimized" for performance. So hood up fan on.... hey don't pick nits bro... the rollers are not the same as blacktop either... Dyno runs are not all that accurate. The best way is to dyno the engine not the drive line/engine.

Butt Dyno is still the way to go IMHO. just sayin

If that's the case then why even have a intake? Just remove the intake and go straight throttle body to air filter for the sound. Just saying...

Actually I have....sort of....I was living in Moscow, Russia....took a trip April '98 to Cairo(17 million people) and then Hurghada(Red Sea),Egypt right after a bunch of tourist were killed at Luxor, Nov '97.
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luxor_massacre
The country was starving for tourism, because of those killings nobody was going. The pyramids at Giza which typically you might wait 3 hrs to go inside....when I visited there was not even one person going in. Flew to Hurghada.....had a Egyptian come up to me about taking a trip in a tour van to Luxor which was about a 4 hr trip thru the desert. Early the next morning at 5am my Russian girlfriend and I met the tour guide and the other couple, Italian, that were going with us. We also had 3 Toyota Hilux trucks with 12+ security guards, no uniforms just armed with AK's along for the trip. Long story short, on our return around dusk they were freaking out all of a sudden for some reason, they wouldn't say....bundled us up in that Toyota van and we hauled ass, no stopping at the few stop signs for the next 4 hrs. They were definitely scared. So my Egypt race across Egypt...
Place is amazing......though in the many countries I have been....in general Egyptians were the worst.

Cool story bro. Except I mean that. Id like to Russian race across Russia, with a Russian gf. Sadly, I've only done that in Poland with a polish gf. In an Opel.

Well Polish women are pretty dang beautiful! Opel I drove in Poland was actually sort of fast.....don't remember the make.
Russia is 11 time zones wide.....huge! To this day there is not even one paved road across the entire country mostly due to tundra. Frozen in the winter but top few feet turns into a sea of mud in summer.

I married that Russian after dating US domestics....decided to go for an import. My best friend...she's amazing. Anniversary tomorrow...too.
