First I have heard of it. I can find them on ebay, but was just trying to find some takeoffs if there were some at a dealer or private.

Intriguing...I almost pulled the trigger on a set of AVS in channel vent visors last evening. What kind of deal was he able to get you?

 

normal price with sale is 52.49 he got me lower. I don't think he likes it if you post actual numbers since everyone can vary depending on what he can pull.

I'm designing a dual swing out bumper with a tire carrier on one side and the other can be outfitted with multiple accessories. they would swing out to allow the tailgate to drop. I was thinking that I could also incorporate a way to attach the tailgate in the down position to the two gates effectively giving you another 2 foot of bed space when needed. Of course I'd encourage tailgate reinforcement as well.

Edit: I have a lot of time on my hands lol
Edit2: The bumper lines need work, but its a rough concept.

Edit: Also @jeff b @Sociopenguin The next meet on March 25th or we going to shoot for another day? I know Jeff mentioned a BBQ as an idea. If we are going to plan something like that we might want to figure out where to do it. I don't think pepperjax/beef jerky outlet would let us fire up grills in their back lot. Thinking a park?

I try, I went to school originally to do engineering, but hated doing Calculus to the point I dropped out of college and enlisted. Then I came back and became a Machinist.
Edit: I'm wondering if I should start putting watermarks on my drawings to prevent stolen ideas by vendors >.> I would hope most of them on here weren't like that but who knows.

 

@Sociopenguin I can stick, mig, and tig(only a little tig) weld fairly well, nothing professional by any means, just fyi. I've always entertained the idea of running a mod shop. If you want to get together once in a while and shoot some ideas and tinker, I'm in. I need to buy a stick welder in the future. Maybe I'll add it to my wedding registry HA!
