katzkin leather installed in my 17 Off-road

Thought I share a few pics of my new 17 TRD OR now with Katzkin leather.
Ordered it from a local shop (Vancouver BC) it came to $1400 CAD/ $960 USD installed.
Very happy with the fit and finish. There we're lots of different options but I just went for a factory

Whats the difference between Katzkin and Clazzios ? What makes them almost 2x as much as the Clazzios?(serious question)

They dont seem to fit as wrinkle free.

 

I believe Clazzios are covers that go over your fabric. Katzkin you remove the original fabric and attach the leather like you would with factory leather.
I've seen both Katzkin looks much better to me that why I chose it.

So you are saying for $1000, I would have actual leather seats?

Yup.

Katzkin says their leather is more "premium" then factory, I don't know about that but I'd imagine since it's generally the same product i'd imagine wear is similar.
An added bonus is if you rip or damage one seat you can just replace it for a fraction of what it would cost to replace factory leather.

 

Looks good, I was disappointed I couldn't get leather seats from factory. May go with this in the future

 

What color combination is that? It's hard to tell in the pics of the front seats; they almost look solid black, but the back seat definitely looks like it has a different color insert. Charcoal maybe?

They are black. Probably just the lighting.

 

Do they come with door panel inserts?

They do not. On my TRD off-road it's a rubber dash type material that seems to match ok for my liking. On the Pro and Limited it is leather, you can order that factory part from one of those trucks but it's not important to me cause the current material matches well.

I just got my 2017 yesterday and was thinking of getting it done from those guys they quoted me 1499.00$

 

The color is graphite. The wrinkles will lay out in a few weeks. Highly recommend.

Is there any sort of extra padding in the them? The stock seats really hurt my back. If i wear a heavy sweatshirt or something it acts as some padding and the seats dont bother me as much that way. If these have some extra padding built in im all over them.

 

You could ask the installer if additional padding could be added, but they are custom made for the vehicle model and go on tight.

 

looks awesome! I like how the hood rest receivers are black, too.
