Mine looks just like yours, but I used pieces of cut rubber boot.

Thanks guys! Here’s how I’m sitting:

Installed the Mountain Hatch last week, haven’t used it, seems nice. I use my tailgate a lot as a workbench and I think the flat surface will be handy.

Coated my stock TRD Sport rims with 10 coats of Hyperdip (similar to Plasti-dip). Went in perfectly and seems hard as paint. We’ll see what a Wisconsin winter does to it.

Removed the “MA” so now the side emblems now just say “TACO”

I masked out and painted the hood scoop with Rustoleum Peelable Paint (again similar to Plasti-dip, but more matte and rubbery texture to it). This is one of my favorite cheap mods, second only to the “TACO” emblems.

Thanks for the pics of the hoist system. I had bought an HF hoist, but of course it was dead on arrival, and I rigged a manual lift instead. I’ll revisit it with some new ideas inspired by your pergola set-up.

    Have fun everyone!

Loosening all bolts for the initial install was what I learned I had to do to get my rack installed. My issue was a little different @QuadCop but similar in frustration. The damn holes would not line up as if the brackets were too short for the DB. Also, the rack was not truly square when I initially built it. One side was 1/4” off compared to the other side. Once I loosened everything I was able to align the brackets to the rack and then started tightening one corner at a time.

Hey @Papadave418, how are you mounting your RTT to your voodoo rack? My mounting brackets from my tent appear to be too short.... E78CAF43-89E0-470E-A445-619D908721C3.jpg

So for my iKamper I put a single bolt right through the crossbar with a locknut in each of the 4 corners. I have the AluMax rack which has a huge 15 series aluminum cross bar that I drilled through.

It’s a desert armor, aka iKamper clone.

Thanks for the reply! Someone else in another thread said to use longer carriage bolts. I’ll sleep on it and make a decision soon.

Direct message would probably be best as opposed to posting on this thread. It’s not easy running a small business, I get that you put down a grand for the product, but small business owners put down their life savings and stake their livelihood on word of mouth. Chad at @KB Voodoo is a good guy and will take care of you

First, the product is not flawed.

Second, if you're looking for customer service, contact at support@kbvoodoo.com or (716) 296-0086.

We have no idea who who are since all we see here is your username, but we do not have any emails or messages related to this issue.

We almost never check this forum.

All that said, you need shorter bolts. The thread is 3/8"-16 and any hardware store will have them. Several other people have already said this.

Looks awesome! Long bed rack on a short bed truck. Now I will say the cargo rack is worth every penny. I get so much gear on there I love it

Heck yea! This is one of my favorite threads, with so much great info. No need to muddy it up with someone mad about 2 bolts. I’ve said before, your build inspired mine, a lot
