Hello TW fanatics. Anybody here who has Lomax installed the KB voodoo rack over it? Or do you guys have something else that you installed over the Tonneau cover? I wanted to carry 4 bicycles and everytime I do that I had to remove the cover so I can put 4 bikes on the bed.

As always I appreciate all your suggestions and funny comments!

    Enjoy your weekend

No one provided a definitive answer in the Lomax Hard Tri Fold Tonneau thread even though it was asked numerous times. I was looking into one of these but due to that I went with something else.

Just recently someone mentioned that KB Voodoo told them their rack wouldn't work with the Lomax.

However, KB Voodoo also posted in this person's Lomax for sale thread a link to their Max Modular racks because he was getting rid of the cover for the same reason, not being able to find a rack that would work.

So I don't think anyone really knows. Want to be the guinea pig?

If only if it was $50 I'd be willing to be the guinea pig. Lol. I wonder what other have done with a Lomax cover.

Don't know if it'll help or not, but here's how I set up the KB Voodoo with my LEER HF350M cover:

Thank you! Can you take a photo of how it's installed on the rail. Lomax uses oem rail to attach the cover rail.

I believe the tonneau rails were cut/trimmed, no? I think I remember coming across your post when I was searching awhile back.

For what it’s worth I asked got exhaust a while ago and as soon as I mentioned a bed rack he said skip the lomax and get a retrax. Didn’t say specifically a lomax wouldn’t work with anything specific but I definitely think he would’ve said a specific setup if he knew it worked with any

LEER does the same. The tonneau rails are attached to the factory rails. In order to make this work, I had to cut gaps in the LEER rails to accommodate the KB Voodoo uprights. This has worked very well, although things aren't as dust/water tight as they were before:

He must have been talking about the Retrax PowertraxONE XR. It's an electric retractable cover that works with T-slot rack systems from Rhino Rack, Thule, Yakima, etc. Very nice, but the cover alone is almost two grand, and because it's retractable the receiver takes up bed space, a consideration if you have a SB. Then, of course, you have to buy a rack system to use with it. I'd have preferred a setup like this, but the bed storage issue and the costs prevented me from jumping in. My LEER tonneau and the KB Voodoo High Rise rack together were only $1300.

Track mounted Cross bars seem to be a viable option.

I looked at way too many posts searching for something on this.

Other than the dust and water you mentioned, was there any issue with the cover latching? Or did the smaller portions of rail stay in place? Looks like Leer uses two bolts to attach the bracket to the rail.

    This is the Lomax bracket.

The rail sections stay in place with no problem, and the cover latches normally. I've had no issues at all in that regard.

What did you use to cut the rail?

I'm lucky enough to have a friend with a fully equipped metal shop. He did the cutting for me.
