I bought a 2004 tacoma Trd 5 speed about 6 months ago truck currently has 116k on it. Since then I have had to replace the slave cylinder and the master cylinder for the slave cylinder but I keep going thru master cylinders for the slave cylinder im on my 4th or 5th one ive lost count you can see the fluid turning black from the seals over time in the resivor and eventually the pedal sucks it self down to the floor and it wont shift. the clutch feels good doesnt slip or anything. the master cylinders are coming from autozone and they have given me 2 different brands and with in 4 to 6 weeks they end up going. The oem one I replaced its fluid was black so is it a clutch issue or just cheap junk you get at autozone. the slave cylinder came from napa and i havnt had any issues out of it. Someone please help me im going crazy replacing these things.

I had good luck w/Napa parts. In my 91,replaced master and slave-new fluid--never had a problem.
Usually they will both wear out at the same interval. replace both at the same time.
    saves some grief.
Toyota may have a rebuild kit for the master-know napa had previously.-
Get the one with the best warranty--the ones w/one year--wear out too fast and are not as good.

Air in the system? Are you bleeding it properly?

Some of this Some of that
You don't have headers do you? Is the flex line too close to to exhaust getting it hot? Is there any other fluid that could possibly be in the system? Petroleum contamination can cause sticking and black fluid
