my tacoma is getting claustrophobic, im 6'1" 260 lbs ive had it since april of 2016, ive been on many adventures with it but im getting that V8 bug and really been looking into geting a trd off road 4x4 tundra. i use the bed for hauling the bike around and the occasional my friend needs help moving. just looking for opinions, i currently work 2 miles away from my work so mpg will not be an issue.

If you can afford the payments, or even better pay cash, then buy the Tundra!

    If it was me:

If its just the V8 bug really pushing you, I'd keep the Tacoma.

If its a space concern like you started your post off saying and you can afford it/if you have a spouse/s.o. and they're fine with it then go for it.

Theres part of me that wants a Tundra too but my wallet is to tight for one and I could never justify the mileage ;)

I will say yes, but then I'm a little biased... which V8 were you looking at?

How big is your garage? That was deciding factor for me

Only 6'1"? My 6'4", 250lb friend gave up his 1st gen Tacoma to get a 2005 Tundra access cab. He is still wishing the Tundra was a little taller or to install lower, aftermarket seats but the Tundra is much better for him (and V8)

Im 6'4" 220 and I love my 15 Tacoma. Plenty of room for me, even if I had to sit in the back seat.
    :notsure: just my opinion anyway.

i guess my concern is that i want to have enough room for everyone else that would be in the truck, we are a family of 5 and i want to be able for everyone to be comfortable (i.e leg room and head room) and In my head I'm thinking a full size pick up, i wont go to RAM, Ford, Chevy to go for those because i want something simple tech wise and that is a reliable product and those are too expensive.

Then it sounds like the Tundra ticks all the boxes. Did you even need to ask? Sounds like you already knew what you wanted! o_O

Tundra is bigger all the way around and I’ve heard a supercharged 5.7L 505HP is pretty fun
