I also welded two piece of 1" flat bar together to mount my relays on. For now I have 2 relays. Might add some in the future and if it gets too much i'll consider an aux fuse box. Not that I don't want it, i do think it is pretty cool! But I don't have the need right now...

I finally retuned my cb antenna since I added a spring and it sits higher. Swr numbers are pretty good now! All below 1,5

I thought about it, they are full of rock chips and faded... but I know they will chip again... but I have the paint and the time so I think I'll do it lol

looking good champ! I'm pretty sure those black face plates come off the lights tho to make it easier to paint. just take an allen key to the 6 little bolts and voila. I would recommend sealing it with silicone when u put them back together tho haha but your tape job looks like it will do the trick just fine

See if you can find a piece of aluminum angle for mounting your relays. You can mount it on the drivers side fender where the already tapped holes are. With the aluminum you won't have to worry about it rusting or anything. Just a thought

Garage is like 20 ft away from the house haha found the tape and got it done! now it is drying :p

Damn I should have thought about it... I could have kept the screws chrome lol.... nevermind its going to look way better than before!

I knew I saw it somewhere! and all this time it was in your build! For now I used the metal I had laying around in the garage but the aluminum angle is a great idea! I painted the steel with tremclad "antirust" (thats what they say...) and will see if it gets the job done...
Can you confirm this bolt size for the tapped holes?

I cheat. I use the bolts from the hood that I remove to install the ditch light brackets so they are tapped to whatever size that is. We'll just call it recycling. I'm just glad to see you taking the initiative to create a bracket for the relays instead of just screwing them to the fender

They won' go back on the truck until I take the time to clean up the wiring... or they might and I'll clean later  but the paint I used seems to take long to cure so I'll give it a little more time so I don't scratch it that fast haha

looks good man! I'm mean realistically, being where they are and with the winters we get, chances are they will need to be touched up again next year haha its a never ending battle lol

I know... rust is like a way of life here... but things look so much better when they are freshly painted! Might do my steel "skid plate" next spring. I'll let it get the hit of the coming winter and then refresh it
