I am off today, but went to take a few water level at my boss' house because of the floods. Things are going bad for people who live close to water. This afternoon I am getting my gf car in the garage for maintenance, and after, the truck, to install the winch haha next "wheeing" trip is next weekend. We are going fishing, and have to take forestry roads haha i have to see if i can book myself with the few others run with the club, or i'll wheel by myself

Ouch! That's very nice of you. Just a lot of snow melting? More than usual? Are you near water? I hope not!

Hope the winch install is easy for you! Sounds like fun! Fishin' & Wheelin', it don't get any better than that! I hope you hook a big one!

crazy flooding happening near the river, so bad water is flowing over the dam and they are worried it wont hold so they are evacuating. I think its the Beaver Dam in Quebec. the problem is the quick melt, it was cold and winter then everything got warm and rainy for like a week so there is a shit tone of water, and its rained a lot recently. but the ground is still partly frozen so it isn't absorbing as much water as usual. plus there is still snow up north melting which runs down the river to where we are. I was knee deep in water at a customers house pulling out their furnace, water heater and AC to store somewhere until the flooding goes down. did this at 3 peoples houses today.

Is it a dam named Beaver Dam or an actual beaver dam? I have to ask because: https://montrealgazette.com/news/local-news/villagers-stuck-in-homes-after-beaver-dam-collapses

EDIT: HAH! I just realized Rob asked the same thing!

Those people who are getting flooded, has been flooded in 2017 too, and some of them where not done yet with reparations and/or reconstruction. Some of them saw their house totally wrecked, and had to put them down, and some got their houses jacked, and got new foundations, designed to hold against flood. But again, some were not ready yet... it really suck
I was also wondering where was that beaver dam
that dam is around an hour and a half of Ottawa. If that thing fails, around 130-150 houses/buildings will be taken to the river...:( it have to hold

Here's a link to a fb page where they have pictures of around town. Then extrapolate to the whole province...

After gathering some information about my winch, and seeing that the controller port could not be used because of an A/C line, I decided to install the solenoid on the bumper. I also put a switch on the line to prevent unintentional use and cause damages. IMO, it looks better with the solenoid on top, it fills the blank space between the lights.

CEL came on last week end while driving around... scanned it and got that P0171 code, which is something like engine running lean. Can be related to the maf sensor, or Idle air control valve, or fuel pump. I cleaned the maf and cleared the code for now. Then i'll see if it comes back on.

do you have a 02 sensor on the exhaust manifold? I was reading up on 02 sensors and apparently the first 02 thats before the CAT actually helps control fuel as well, I don't remember the specifics but essentially if its not working properly is can cause lean conditions. they actually recommend replacing them all every 100k and it changing them all can help fuel economy
