Yes, there is a Spotify app in the Weblink function, and of course, it's available in Android Auto. (don't know about CarPlay or whatever Cupertino calls their thing. I'm not a sheep, so I don't use Apple....)
The application library is small, but covers the bases and is growing as Google gets their shit together.

Last night's cigar was the new Gurkha Heritage Robusto. It was fantastic, paired with a nice cup of Black Rifle coffee. :)

I am mostly looking at maybe replacing the oem head unit in a 2018 tundra platinum. big thing is the seat setting. during the summer I turn off the seat moving back when pulling the key out but during the winter (where it get between 0 to -20F and wearing a thick coat) I like the seat to move back to make getting in/out easier.

just wish there was a setting in the head unit to turn off the steering wheel function of moving up/in when pulling the key out. would like to save wear/tear on that motor.

you can turn it off via techstream but again gotta lug the laptop out each time.

At the risk of sounding a bit indelicate (but I'm scottish, so....), That really seems like an edge-scenario. I'm not sure you're ever going to find a solution to that issue in the aftermarket. (or OEM, for that matter)

    Good to know!

I never got into Gurkha much, I am not a fan of their marketing tactics TBH. Dunbarton makes some fantastic cigars, do yourself a favor and give them a try if you aren't familiar.

yeah wishful thinking as usual :)

maybe if Toyota could get around to maybe implementing android in the next gen tundra this would be a mute point. I know 2019 Toyota models should be coming with apple carplay since they have approved that now.

Oh yes, Dunbarton is fantastic, no question.

The Gurkhas are the "everyday" cigar and for the money, they're hard to beat. Not sure what you mean re: their marketing tactics.
This morning it was this old friend:

Nice! Just their practice of marking up cigars to constantly have them on sale so you feel like you got a deal, that's all. I'll let this get back on topic now but if you want to have some cigar talk you should join over at speak-easy.club

Just as well. I picked up my 18 this afternoon and my phone slides around too much to use qi charging. I'll need to make a small shim to keep it in place.

I just wish we could turn off the factory guidelines instead of having them lay over.

I did like that the kenwood's lines curve as you turn. Changed my kenwood for an Alpine and I miss that feature.

Does the Waze in weblink work wirelessly like Android auto or does it need to be plugged in?

Any update to how this has been working?

Does it feed street and speed data to the cluster screen?

I don't have this HU but my understanding is the audio and nav pages of the cluster screen won't work anymore. The rest of the pages should continue to work as normal.

Audio works for me on my Alpine ( source and station selection). Nav doesn't.
