I posted this in the technical chat as well, try this one too. I have a 2008 trd sport. Key fob doesn't consistently unlock doors, the lock will always work. I know it isn't the key fobs, have had remote start put on , and new fobs do the same thing. So it is something with truck ,maybe not getting signal or something? What is odd is it always gets signal to lock doors. It maybe works 50% of the time. does anyone know if there is a relay or anything I can tweak to make it work better? Thought someone else might have had same trouble , and figured it out?

Did it work consistently before you put the remote start in?

no sir. It seems to work the same . It not working right actually swayed me to having remote start with door unlock feature installed.

no. both original fobs, plus the two that came with remote start do the same thing.

I would vote battery as well, sometimes even brand new ones are wore out. I would replace. I think they are cr2075.

This happens to me too, I notice when I go to the gym or best buy or mall when in busy parking lot I have to wait 20seconds at least for it to work. When I'm not near many cars it works instantly. Starting to think it's a "Rf" radio frequency issue that are the same as other vehicles in the area. But who knows

I did replace battery in original fobs. It does it in my driveway with no other cars around. it will always lock the doors, even if the unlock doesn't work, sometimes I will hit lock just to see if maybe that will make the unlock work. Which it never does.
