"Hello everyone! Me and a buddy were tinkering around one day, and we came up with a pretty cool idea. We've asked around a little bit and gotten some good feedback on it so we decided to sell a few. They're Key-Knifes. We can do any type of car key/motorcycle key/house key in a small switchblade. These are anywhere from $25-$45 (depending on the type). If you're interested or have any questions please email me at KeyKnife@aol.com"

the cop would probly just end up asking you where can he buy a key like that and let you go, see win win situation, or you can get tased and thrown in jail for the night, but i like to think positive :D

    All soon to come.
Just made an account on TW. There are ALOT of people on this forum!

Had a few orders for knives so far. T4r4life has been awesome for trying to spread the word like this, wanted to give him my thanks.

Also wanted to add a few things. The way we do it is you can
    A. Send in a key, and we can convert it into a key-knife.
    B. We can ship you out a blank key/transponder that matches your vehicle.

Were at the brainstorming table with the swiss knife key too!:D

Any suggestions or ideas are much appreciated!

I would guess yes for being a simulated weapon. Water squirt guns are considered simulated weapons.

Why do you have your keys on you going through TSA? I take mine out of my pocket and put them in my stowed luggage just before I get on the flight.

I know it is in the link but it might be a good idea to put the prices in the thread to cut down on the bouncing around. I'm interested in this for my truck. I've never lost/misplaced one of my knives but lose/misplaced my keys all the time lol.

Worst idea ever, you must not travel much ehh? Sounds good til' they lose your bag.

Very cool idea though it's not practical for those of us who fly often or go through security check points/searches.

so these would come as a blank key, so i could than take it to my dealer who would program it and get it cut???

i definetely would not fly with this, christ they took my small terminal screwdriver i had left in my bag, theyve taken my lighter that looked like a knife, id hate for them to take my keys when i was flying away for work man

but i do need a spare key lying aroud home

Either or. Or we can cut it for you! A lot of Toyotas you can program the transponder yourself saving you a trip to the dealer.

And they key can be cut while its attached to the knife.

The keyport is a cool idea. Your the second person to post something about that while were doing this. I think they're a little more expensive though, and were trying to work out a swiss army style knife to hold all your keys too. I suppose it depends on preference. I personally would rather have a knife in my pocket then a USB. I'd loose it if it was too small :)
