    Question:

If I replace my battery, do I have to re-programm my keyless entry remotes?

I need to replace my battery soon.

I have a factory key less entry with alarm for my 2001 Tacoma . I need to know if a bypass exists for the alarm once it is set. I was almost stranded at deer camp because the battery went dead on the key and the truck would not start; not even with the manual key. I called the dealership and was told that I would have to have the truck towed because no owner bypass existed.
I presently do not use the alarm system but when another Toyota is parked near and sets their alarm mine is set also.
