    Not all of Coatesville is bad. As long as you're well out of the "city". Although if you have kids then yeah, stay outta Coatesville.

    Coatesville is a very large area. I live on an acre in a 15 house cul-de-sac that has a farm across from my road. Downtown is almost like a city, and you wouldn't want to leave your truck on the street long. But I am a solid 10 minutes from there and still considered Coatesville. Around me is getting built up though. I'm right by Applecross country club which has all kinds of houses being built around it.

    Are you working in Coatesville or nearby?

    Dolton is right. Stay outside of the city. There really are some nice areas. If you are considering a move, let Enigmaaron or I (or any other locals) know and we can scope things out or at least offer some advice.

    I live in Chester Springs about 20 min from coatesville, you have plenty of options around there just stay out of downtown coatesville. To the East Downingtown, Exton, West Chester, Thorndale are no problem or further west Like Gap PA is Amish alot less crime there also.
