I wish i could remember the thread, I went down this rabbit hole last time i needed an alignment thinking they would be froze. I came across a thread that discussed the white line bushings, and possible issues. I am almost certain there was another bushing that was mentioned in the thread that seemed to have a good following. I can't remember, but @fatfurious2 I believe that is the thread that I caught wind of you rebuilding those sets.

From what I understand it’s a bullshit paper work fee. All the how to buy a car people say have them Itemize that fee and renegotiate or refuse to pay it or walk out go someplace else. So we walked.

 

it covers the cost of all the dealership's back-office employees, from the people who handle the money to the employees who deal with the title, registration and the DMV. I even paid for it and I work here. Some states don't have it capped at a certain cost, and that's where they take advantage of it. PA is capped at $389.

 

Just buy new.
the time & effort required to rebuild is not worth in IMO.
Yes, I've done it.
Do NOT use Moog Cam Bolts. They are horrible. Go OEM Cam bolts and bathe them in anti-seize.
The LCA Ball joint from them was fine for me but I know @Redmann had bad luck with those as well.

Do I'm thinking I'm just going to buy new oem camber bolt kits and these mevotech lower balljoints. It's easy enough to change balljoints. Why buy expensive lca's when I only need new camber bolts and lower balljoints.

 

Do yourself a favor when you get the bushings put them in the freezer. leave them there till you are ready to press them in.

 

I think you are a car salesman and you are promoting the dealership propaganda. Hiring people do to the leg work is the cost of doing business and charging extra for that is ripping off your customers. I suppose dealerships should charge buyers storage fees for the term of how long the new car was parked on their lot. They could call it the P.L.F. parking lot fee at $5.00 a day. Lets see this car was parked here for 90 days so that's going to cost you $450.00. All I got to say is thank goodness for watch dog groups that watch out for us consumers.

 

Just got my new wheels and tires mounted. Looks like I'm going to need a CMC. Anyone recommend a SE PA local shop that can do this? I'm near Hatfield, PA.

Ok. Just my $.02 here on this topic.
I did the cab mount chop on my truck twice. the first time was sometime back in 2011 or 2012 and the second time was last year after the frame was replaced. In BOTH cases I just cut it and did not weld a plate in the open space.
Y'all know I've done some ridiculous shit with my bucket of bolts for over +130K miles.

NEVER had an issue with not plating the cab mount.

@Blackfoot come on over this weekend & I can zip them off for clearance in about 20 min. with my angle grinder and you can call it a day. I'm in Southampton so pretty close.
