Ok, I'm located in York, PA and was wondering if we could set up group meet sometime in the south central PA area? If anyone is interested we should get together and plan this. I feel like I'm a loner in this area because I don't own a jeep haha. Maybe I should start a thread?

    :p I used to own a jeep.

I live in Landisville. Which isn't all that far from you (30 miles maybe?)

Post something up .... I only get 2 weekends off a month and they're always booked.

Even more of a miracle, is if you could get peeps to show up somewhere for a lunch meeting during the week in this area....

Hey all, thought I'd add to the list of Pennsyltuckians. Marietta here, close to the York border on the Susquehanna. I have to agree with 85yote about the Jeeps in this area. Its almost at pandemic levels. I had one once, it spent more time in the shop than on the road. Mopar for ya I guess. Anyway, nice to meet all of ya, and if anyone knows of some decent areas to trail without needing tons of mods would you let me know? A lot of the places I used to go as a kid are no longer. Thanks again!

Got a question for ya'll Pennsylvanians... tuckians, whichever you prefer. :D

Recently heard something from someone (don't exactly consider it a reliable source, just raised my curiosity) that the old Paragon Adventure Park site over in Hazleton, PA is still accessible. Is that true? Everything I've read points to some corporation or something buying out the land to put in a cargo airport or something.

Course, Rausch Creek is about the same distance for me.. heh. Then there's Stokes over in Jersey.. hmmm.. yes, we need more OHV areas.

Paragon closed because the land was supposed to be converted to a cargo airport. But since - the economy tanked and from what I understand, they're not doing that at this point.

The owners of Paragon Adventure Park did not own that land and they have moved to own/operate the Badlands Offroad Park. It's been YEARS since they've moved there. http://www.badlandsoffroad.com/.

Whoever told you the land is *accessible* might be correct, but I can tell you one thing....it is ILLEGAL to be there. So I highly discourage anyone from going there.

That's what I figured. I'll stick to places where I won't get arrested and charged with trespassing, etc.

Well, I spent the day (something like 10:30 AM until about 4 PM) with a couple of my friends over at RC. Really fun.. not counting me being an idiot, running in 2-Lo for the first half of the day (forgot to push the button).. though I did make it through the Rock Garden that way...... got semi-stuck a couple times.. nothing a little skinny pedal application after backing up a couple feet didn't fix. Next time I'll use 4WD though.

All in all, fun day. And for those who haven't checked out the new Northeast property.. do so. :)

    Pennsyltuckian?

It's just a made-up word that kinda describes the redneck nature of some of our residents who are from PENNSYLTUCKY. There is no such place.

Hey...check this out!! There's even a WIKI for it!
    That's pretty damn runny
