A buddie of mine works on small engines, from what I hear it would be better to spend the extra money and get a name brand (honda... etc.) When things break on those its hard to find parts for them. And if you ever decide to sell it the a name brand atv (again Honda.. etc) will have a better resale value/trade in if you decide to upgrade. just my $0.02

The problem with that cheaper china stuff is you pretty much own it for life or you will sell it close to nothing when it comes time to off it. Santa brought this 2 years ago KFX50. They dont make these anymore jst the KFX 90 Just get a Brand name as they hold there value better and hold up better as well.

cousin had an eton 90 i think it was. good little four wheeler, fun to ride. i know they've had it for like 5 or 6 years and i've never heard of a major problem with it. that's really all i can report.

x3 Definitely don't buy one of those no name bargain models. More trouble than they are worth. Unreliable, very cheaply built, hard to find parts, unsafe, you couldn't give it away when it comes time to sell, etc, etc.
Your kid will be riding it too so I would spend the extra $ and get a good one. You can find used kids atv's all the time because they grow out of them so quick. Honda,Kawasaki,Suzuki,Yamaha can't go wrong with anything from them.

We have two Raptor 80's w/3-spd no clutch--great machines for the beginner and teaches them to listen for engine speed before they shift up to next gear...the newer Raptor 90's are nice, but do have the Eton motor and are auto's--Good Luck!
