I would like to emphasize just how loud these tires are on the highway. Borderline intolerably annoying.
I am no stranger to loud vehicles yet these tires bother the shit out of me. About 45 minutes of highway time is about all I can take.
I am selling mine for something quieter since I make 4-5 hour trips fairly regularly and I can't do it with these tires, I'll go mental.

Based on this thread, these are what I’m planning to get for winters this upcoming season. Appreciate the thread @Stocklocker and all the updates!

I’ve never had an issue with rolling Generals. Excellent rubber.

Put these on for winter with stock steel rims.
What tire pressures are you running for the LT's? 50psi?

You don’t need to pump LT tires to their max pressure. That’s only if you plan on carrying the maximum weight. You can run something closer to what is on the door. I run these snow tires at 32 psi cold.

People scoff at running snows on an aid or 4wd vehicle, but the difference in traction is immense. Braking, turning, the whole thing. The Generals have always been a great bang for buck tire.

I don't do much highway driving, but my Duratracs have been sooo good in the winter, that I happily sold off my winter tire/rim combo from the Dealership.

And trust me, when I say we get horrible winters here. Deep snow, icy roads, freezing rain, and -40 at it's worst.

These are killer snow boots. The old versions Sorel made in Canada.

I have those as well. Sorel should make a line of tires.

beige snow tires with furry hubcaps.

Starting my third winter on these. Snowed the week after I put them on. Just in time for a white Christmas.

I had just got studded snows on my trade in before I went to Toyota lol. First time ever having studded snows. I was so ready to experience the driving...

But, I opted to get Fallen wildpeaks on custom rims instead of snow tires on the taco this year. I'll be using the stock rims next winter for snows. Not sure if I need studded though... Probably not, but I sure would like them. I don't think they last as long though.

But I'll be using this stuff to help me decide on what tires I get. So thanks OP.

Very impressed with these. Take well to airing down (10psi) and no issues with slipping on inclines or descents.

slightly off-topic, but for those of you running snows, do you buy 5 or just assume your flats are only going to happen in the summer?

I recently purchased 4 of the Grabber Arctic LT after finding this thread. 265/75/16, studless.

This past weekend was the first time driving them in snow, up near Bend, OR. I am very impressed with the handling on fresh snow, plowed roads, and ice.

I took off Ko2s in the same size to see what a dedicated snow tire could do, definitely worth it! These tires stop quicker, rarely slide, and I felt a lot safer driving with these in snow compared to a Ko2.
