These tires are getting a workout this winter. Still super impressed at the start of my third winter on them. They are heavy, and loud on dry pavement at highway speeds, but the confidence of having a 10-ply rated tire on in the winter if you bump curbs or rocks hidden in the snow etc is nice. All kinds of different conditions have been met and these things hook up and chew through, with no evidence of them wearing out or getting chewed up.

As others have said, these may not be directly comparable to a low-profile, massively siped, p-rated “studless ice radial” on black ice, but for a heavy-duty all-rounder winter truck tire, with massive tread depth for deep snow, good siping for icy roads, and ability to run bare gravel roads without being ground down to nothing, they fit the bill.

I am on my 3rd season on these. Very happy with the purchase, I'd rate them highly for snow, slightly less for ice traction. Treadwear has been really minimal, but I don't typically put a lot of mileage on in the winter months. I run the 265/75r16 on the stock offroad rims with no TPMS. They are definitely a heavy 10 ply tire, you'll notice the difference vs. the stock wranglers. Price was also a good selling point, Nokian's were much, much more expensive in my area.

Just want to thank everyone for the reviews of the General Grabber Arctic LT. I've been running Grabber ATX's on my Tacoma for years and they are fantastic all around AT, but needed a dedicated, fairly heavy-duty snow tire for my 2022 Rivian R1T (7000lbs+). So I'm having the GG Arctic LT's (275/65/R20) installed in a few days. I live in Denver and drive up the mountains just about every weekend with my kids to snowboard, needed something better than the OEM Pirelli 3-peak Scorpions on the Rivian. I'll let you know how they do on a much heavier truck than a typical Taco.

Let us know how long they last as well. Those electric cars BURN through tires.

Watch out for the $40,000 price tag on a rear bumper repair too. Sheesh!

Well, after 2 snow storms now on my new Wildpeak A/Ts, they've been more than adequate, and got the job done, no doubts about it.

But I find the Duratracs did it better. If Duratracs did finally come out with a 33" 255/80/17, they would be my next purchase. If not, I'll happily stick with Wildpeaks.

I don't need a dedicated winter tire (for my needs), and am happy that I only have to rotate tires instead of switching them out twice a year.

    Bring on winter... :burnrubber:

How would you all rate these against the Falken wildpeaks?

I have the Grabber Arctic XL version on my 2018 Tacoma. I like them. Great tire for Newfoundland (eastern Canada) winters - snow, slush, icy roads, slippery roads, unplowed roads etc. This will be my 5th winter on them. I'm estimating 50k - 55k KM on them - still have about 8/32s of tread on them. They'll last this winter, maybe next winter also. New they have 12/32s tread. Rotate them every season. Run about 34lbs of air.

Starting my 5th winter on these tires. Running them at 29PSI cold. Seems to be the sweet spot.
