The EB is nice, but the well tuned rumble of the 5.0 when you romp on it is intoxicating. It reminds me of everything I miss about my '99 F-150, minus the spark plug ejection issue.

My buddy just bought a new 16' F150. He was going to get the EB, but the warranty is voided if you plow with it. He bought the 5.0 instead. Are they not the same truck/frame? The Ecoboost has higher power #'s than the 5.0

Ridgeline bed is 17" vs 18" for the Tacoma. However no wheel wells, and 3" longer than the DCSBFTMFW Tacoma.

I never got the use of trucks for off roading. And as a bow hunter I feel like any place worth hunting you have to walk to ;).

I guess the new Tacoma is slightly deeper. I walked outside, and measured my 13' Tacoma, rather than search for a #. The Ridgeline bed is 5' wide. Your link shows 46.1" for the Tacoma, but Im assuming thats between the wheels.

I am not trying to show the Ridgeline is better. I just hate when people post the reasons that it sucks, when these reasons are just made up and not true.

This about sums it up. Funny thing about tools, though. You give a man a hammer and he'll find something to nail. History has shown what happens when you give a man a truck.

I know it sucks, but sometimes we have to rent tools rather than buy them.

In that regard, payload capacity aside, Ridgeline ain't a truck and if one has any inkling of towing I would second those in here who are suggesting a full size pickup. For snowy roads and highways, tho, I would probably prefer the Ridgeline (until I got stuck!).

I don't dislike the Ridgeline and actually test drove one before I went Tacoma. The Ridgeline cabin was way nicer and I do think the wife and kids would be happier in it. I tend to think of it as a modified El Camino, which makes it more fun to me.

Did OP update on the final decision? I didn't see.
