King coilovers adjustable?

    I have a pair of King coilovers sitting in my garage (OEM set I believe) and I am wondering if/how they are adjustable...

    I know it may be a dumb question but I haven't taken a close look at them and am wondering if anybody just knows the answer.

    yes they are. You turn the large retaining nut on the threads to lengthen and shorten the spring.

    Do you mean the small allen wrench nut in the disc at the top of the spring?

    that disc, or retaining nut, is the thing that you turn. it should be on threads. and the allen screww just locks the nut inplace. so you have to loosen that screw first.

    Ha because I took them off for OME. Then I didn't feel like putting them back on. Now I want them back on and I want them set at 2.5".

    Can you adjust them while they're on the truck?

    ^ yes, you can adjust them while they are on the truck but the UCA tends to get in the way and you might have to unbolt it from the spindle to get the needed room to turn the top collar.

    when you adjust them on the truck be sure to have the truck jacked up and the susp fully drooped so there is no weight on the shock. loosen the set screw, crank away and the retighten the set screw and lower the truck down. if you like cool, if not repeat the previous steps
