I 100% agree. It was like I dropped off a 2 year old truck and 3 hours later picked up a brand new one. I was actually negotiating on trading my Tacoma in the day before I heard about the new TSB. I'm keeping it now. I would recommend this to anyone who feels like their Tacoma is lacking power and gear hunting. One of the main things it resolved on mine was before when I would floor the accelerator there would be a 1-2 second delay and then whiplash would kick in. This no longer happens. I'm just not sure why this took 2 years to resolve.

i took a copy of T-SB-0058-18 and copy of, T-SB0062-18. said i have a surge at 35-45 mph for the 0058 TSB, and only in the am when the tranny is cold, and the truck falls on its face from a dead stop when i put it to the floor, and when it takes off its not smoothe when it accelerates,, tech stated he test drove it and could not verify, and updated ECM per customer request... yes customer request... its a computer, if theres a software update they have to update it, its that simple... just because they cant duplicate what i say is wrong with it, gives them no right to deny the update... IMO... i wrote my concerns on the 1st page only of both TSB's and handed them to the service person,, and told her i wanted the latest software for my transmission concerns, its an update , make them do it.. stand your ground,

Without taking it in is there a way to know what program you currently have?

I got my 35000 mile service done on my 17 two weeks ago and I swear it seems to drive le a different truck... now reading this, I wonder.

Is it something they normally do at a service interval if you don't have the latest software?
