Hi all I tried to search but only found a few examples.

Has anyone mounted a fixed blade knife in their truck? I'm looking for ideas that make the knife easily accessible and somewhat hidden from view.

    what you guys think?

Under the steering column?? A few folks have gun holsters under there. Also in the door pocket would work out too??

I think the seat and console is a good place. Or right above the foot well under the steering wheel.

what was restricting me was how to mount the knife but with this velcro idea it really can be mounted anywhere as long as its solid.

I was looking around that location today. I was thinking I might mount mine in front of the seatbelt clip. That way its more hidden.

Now the most important question. Which knife to buy?

See, this is why TW kicks ass. I like this location, this might be the winner as long as the knife I get will fit.

gabassman, how did you attach it to the column?

Stuck it in there and dropped the steering wheel a tad bit to make it secure but im sure it could be velcroed (possible spelling) to the steering column. I havent investigated the velcro option but it is secure. Oh and thanks ive had two locations and this is the best sofar i have found

Uh oh, you shouldn't have done that. Now he's gonna have to take out a second mortgage to pay for all the cool knives he sees on that site.

It's most important to have the knife accessible when entering/exiting the vehicle. Velcro to the inside wall of the door pocket. Inside wall of the B-pillar. Whatever.

Would it be considered a concealed weapon If so, there may be some legal issues.

Be interesting to know if its considered a concealed weapon. Whats the difference between having a knife (for utility, not weapon) under your steering wheel as opposed to it being in your center console or in your pocket? Both are hidden.

I'm an eagle scout, be prepared!!
