Bilstien, Fox and King have a few different options for the rear of our Tacoma's from stock to 6" Lift.
    Here is a list:

Bilstein O.E Replacements (Yellow 1.75" Bodies)-
Entry level Nitrogen charged shock for stock suspension, no lift

Bilstein 5125 Series Replacement (Zinc Finish 2" Bodies)-
Off Road oriented specific valved Nitrogen shock, 1.5" longer for additional lift like AAL, or replacement leafs. Not designed for anything larger than 1.5" of lift!

Bilstein 5100 Series Replacement (Zinc Finish 2" Bodies)-
non vehicle specific Nitrogen shocks that come in various lengths and a few valving options ranging from soft, medium and firm. This series only comes in a Loop/Loop mounting option so a additional stem to loop adapter is required to properly install in the rear.

    Other Rear shock options

Fox 2.0 Piggy back Reservoir shocks-
Direct replacement for the Tacoma's with additional 2" of lift. Custom tunable for specific valving needs. They have now developed a 8 way adjustable C/D adjuster that lets you tune your shocks dampening with the turn of a dial!

KING 2.5" Remote Reservoir direct replacement Tacoma rear shocks
Direct replacement for the Tacoma's with additional 2" of lift. Custom tunable and come with unique reservoir mounting bracket. Ultimate Off Road Capabilities!

I have heard mixed reviews as to how Toyota is handling the TSB's- I had to basically fight them for a few days before they gave in. I took measurements of trucks on their lot and showed them that my springs were almost 2" lower than the stock trucks. After that it was taken care of- My question is that I heard that some of the 2009 trucks still have the 3 leaf packs in them. Is that true?

The rear Fox shocks dont actually lift the rear, they just come longer to accommodate for additional rear lift like a AAL or springs. Do you know if your truck has 3 or 4 leaf springs in the pack? The defective springs have 3 leafs in them...
