Koons Tyson’s Toyota Offered me 15K

I had my 2012 called in for a frame inspection so when I picked it up I asked them to price me out. They offered me 15K as is and 17K if I returned it back to stock. What do you all think? Good price? Specs are below.

I would think that in this market, you could get over $22.5k private party without even trying.

 

How was the frame? Seems too low if the frame is good.

 

Where is the truck, I’ll give you 17 as is.

 

The frame passed the inspection and they sprayed it/added new plugs so I’m assuming it’s in good shape for a 10 year old truck. The salesman said “this market is crazy and I’m offering you top dollar”. I knew they would kinda low ball me but wanted to see what the good old world of Tacoma had to say.

Yeah, might not be a bad idea to sell privately. Just not sure how many people are in the market for a Tacoma this “niched” out

Koons would probably list that truck for $30,000.

 

Kelly Blue Book private party value is around $19k to $22k. I don't believe I would take less than $19k as is, if you like the truck and it doesn't have any other issues. Some dealers were paying more than KBB values to get some inventory.

 

They were doing 15K ADM on 21s when I was looking.

 

I agree with the others, I think you could get way more for the truck if you sold it on TW.

Yeah I saw the blue book value but I didn’t have the option to add some of the features of the truck. The private sale value on KBB is reasonable.

also agree. Maybe that’s what I’m gonna have to do when it’s time. But I know if I sell my truck right now it would be pretty hard to get a good deal on another truck.

Koons are a bunch of crooks. I would never go through them for anything again.

 

I would keep it! You only got 114K on it. Shoot my 2015 has 125K and I plan on keeping it. Seems to me the 2 gen trucks are better than the 3rd gen.
