Has anyone run the Kuhmo Road Venture AT51? I've heard they run lighter than most tires of the same size whether 265 or 285, I see it comes in a 275/70/17 load C, has a few positive reviews and seem to be cheaper than most of the popular tires in that size. Curious if anyone was running them here. Search shows a few here run the mud tire, I'm more interested in the all terrain.

Tire Rack users seem pretty positive.

Weather is light snow in the mid Atlantic coast region, moderate rainy season, offroad is mostly dirt roads, some mud and sand in the Carolina Outer Banks.

Daily commute is 40 mile round trip on the highway. Current tire is a Nitto G2 265/70/17 that I've been happy with, problem is they don't come in a 275 and not looking to jump to 285.

I have been running them for over a year now. 265/65/17. On the road they ridea real good. Have not seen mud. In snow there real good. I m looking at getting them in 275 when I do my lift next spring.

I have over a year in them and got them on Ebay. They replaced Michelin LTX MS2s. They are quiet, and do well in snow. Wet traction on streets is not very good compared to the Michelin. Also I have had balancing problems. I was told by a shop owner that tire makers have three grades of tires. They are graded by how close to spec they are. A grade go to manufacturers, B to dealers and C to Ebay sellers. Don't know if this is true, but I got these much cheaper than Tire Rack or Tire Barn delivered, and with the balancing issues I've had I think the shop owner was correct.

So what you're saying is it's a decent tires long as you don't buy them from Ebay?

I've had Michelin LTX on previous trucks, have them on the wife's Chevy now, very nice tire, probably one of the best all weather but they don't come in a 275/70/17.

If they didn't have the balance issues maybe. The wet traction is what concerns me.
