I got those from above. Had to have someone else drill them because my drill couldnt open to take a large enough drill bit. Then I cut the bedmat in a non matching way for all of the tie downs lol

Seriously considering removing my sway bar.

Hoping the 886 coil springs with my bumper and winch are stiff enough to prevent too much body roll up front. As it is now there is literally zero noticeable body roll at all.

Pop that sway bar off and report back. I'm considering doing that when I put new skids on in a couple weeks.

So I made attempt to remove my sway bar two nights ago. Turns out I need a 5.5mm allen wrench. I thought that was a typo so I tried a 5mm and a 6mm. Neither work. So, apparently I need to find a 5.5mm allen wrench. I didn't know you could buy 0.5mm increments... Or go see if one of my SAE allen wrenches will do the trick perhaps. Lowe's didn't have a 5.5mm allen wrench.

    Annoying... o_O

Usually the bigger allen wrench sets will have those unusual 4.5mm and 5.5mm wrenches.

Checked 4 hardware stores so far. Can't locate.

Though I found a chart online saying 7/32 is the same as 5.556mm. Stuck a 7/32 in there. It's loose but it catches. Maybe I'll make another attempt later.

We do actually! I haven't checked them yet. I need to bite the bullet and buy a floor jack too while I'm at it. Have jack stands already but no floor jack. Just the HiLift.

I can do some SERIOUS damage there! Even though I know they sell cheap tools, I can't help it; it's kinda like an addiction :goingcrazy: :D

    Trail Report:

Had fun yesterday. Ended up being a 12 hour day from house to trail and back home again. Thankfully a friend from Helena went on this trip as well. It was nice having a friendly face and someone I could trust on the trail.

Snow conditions were pretty decent. Everything from packed roads to first track through 24" of snow. We had three first timers in the group. Two Heep Cherokees and one old GMC 1/2 Ton pickup. None of them were equipped for the ride. Half way through the trail we forced them to air down and that made a big difference. The GMC learned very quickly that speed was his only tool. That lead to some scary driving behavior, him very nearly rolling down a hillside (he literally slid sideways), and popping a bead on a tire TWICE.

We had to push through some deep snow drifts to make first track. Recovery straps got a bit of use! And I learned the hard way that the 4 D ring shackles I bought don't fit my Pelfreybilt bumpers.... ugh.

The trip itself was near Boulder Tunnel West of Jefferson City, MT. Due to deep snow and icy pack we were unable to make it to the top.

Wish I had more photos to share. My companion took almost all the photos while I drove. She spent more time out of the truck than in the truck. LoL She has great photos of my having buried the driver side of my truck so deep I couldn't open the drivers door. I have a photo of her sitting on the snow bank I got buried in just to show scale. lol
