    Pretty damn salty about it too. I know i haven't exaclty been easy on it...but Jesus Christ its a toyota, not a fucking plastic barbie jeep. It should be more durable.

    Agree. Lol. I'm anxious about mine now that I know for sure the rear diff is the noise maker. Always suspected it was. We even spilled the fluid once just to see if any bad signs came out.

    But my diff is ECGS so not Toyotas doing.

    Mine is stock. Been on BG synthetic from 37k to 59830. Then switched to royal purple because of convience.

    No real issues were seen in my old fluid. A few small shavings. Lots of LSD clutch dust. Nothing alarming. Then not even 1k later my second pinion seal is blown. First blew around 47-48k and zero issues were found when looking inside the diff from the drain/fill holes. No pinion slop was found either.

    For me, just a bare ECGS 3.73 rear with no locker and solid pinion spacer is $700 plus core. If you're telling me you blew one of those up, i'm really getting worried

    My rear diff has made a whirring sound for a long while. Maybe even since install. Worried about long term impact on gear life.

    Pinion seal leaked and i wonder if that had anything to do with the noise or if they are unrelated.

    She said it snowed for 2 days before, so being from CA.. I figured there'd still be snow. The weather looks gorgeous in that pic.

    $410 later I can finally prove to EGGS that my diff is making noise and it is bad...




    "If the diff makes noise when it is installed and keeps making noise that isn't a red flag."

    I've tried to tell them. They tell me they aren't worried.

    Well now I have proof. And, my ARB air locker is pushing fluid out the air line... which means it has become damaged as well. Though it does lock properly... for now.

    I wonder if all this caused my opinion seal failure back in December (more money out of pocket likely caused by the diff issue).

    Now EGGS wants me to rent a vehicle for 3 weeks and send them my diff so they can fix it and send it back. And I'll still have to pay my shop to pull the diff, send it, and then put it back in.

    Not loving @ECGS right now. All the money I supposedly saved by buying through ECGS is already gone and i still have a fucked up diff.
