Hell you can get a $14 - $15 an hour job at Panda Express in Bozeman these days. Not even joking.

    You considering a move?

Not gonna lie I had slight buyers remorse having a DCLB, especially after joining TW and seeing how many DCSB there were. Additionally, the length made it look unproportional (or so I thought). But recently I came across a lot of DCLB builds and its inspiring, the length is actually growing on me. Not that I can do anything about it cuz i'd take a fat hit trading it in :D Just gotta work with what I have

Just been casually looking at postings in Bozeman recently. Definitely ready to move though, been in the same town in Nebraska my whole life. Doesn't do much for me.:notsure:

Yeah. Not much happening in Nebraska I don't think. Our purchaser is from Scottsbluff. So is her father, who is our preferred electrician here in town. Both moved out here.

Yeah and I'd say Scottsbluff has more to offer as far as the outdoors than here in SE Nebraska, so that's saying something haha. Parts of Nebraska are alright, but everything is a several hour drive to get out of the cornfields where I am. I've never actually been to Montana so it might sound silly that I'm looking for jobs there.. but I can't get enough of Colorado and I've been told by multiple people MT has all the perks but without the overcrowding. Pretty true?

I would get a DCLB way, way before I'd get a DCSB :)

    Just a pretty roll mark.

They have a whole line of "custom shop" regular production models.

I'm just surprised anyone buys that. Bobtails are great for CCW, but I'd imagine relatively few CCW a steel 1911 compared to aluminum frame.

But then again.. Kimber bobtails full size 1911s and sells mid grade, high priced lipstick laden pigs.

Town is growing very fast. It's a double edged sword. Good economy, but infrastructure isn't keeping up. If you like being outside MT is a great place to be though. Hike, fish, hunt, camp, ski... all within 30 minutes of town. Cost of living is high in Bozeman though. Single bedroom apartments rent for more than $800 a month... if you find a vacancy.

Yeah the steel Kimber felt pretty dang heavy. Not sure how long I'd enjoy that on my hip.

$800? It would be $2000 in Seattle.

^^^^ that's exactly what I was thinking. Even down in Tacoma, $800 for a one bedroom is cheap as hell.

My buddy Ryan used to live in cheap apartment in T town. We watched a dude get stabbed while standing at redbox. I told him he had a great view.

if you come to where I am (outside of DC), you can get a 1 bedroom for $1600/month plus utilities.

I have a room for rent for $700 including utilities

Oh yeah, in some of the sketchier spots, that's not unusual at all. I've seen some fucked up things here...

Closer you get to communism the higher rent seems to get... just sayin...

I live in the blue collar neighborhoods here where everyone parks in the street and many yards have weeds in them, multiple renters, etc. But 1/4 of the houses on my street fly Old Glory, and three folks fly the Marine Corp flag.

I've only ever driven through Montana on my way to Wyoming. I'd like to spend more time there, I think.
