Hey Dave, where r u trying to relocate the shock to? I'm actually hitting the collar of my driver's side shock on the band that wraps around my leaf spring. The 2.5 icon is a fat ass shock. I would like to move it so it looks like the passenger side. Will the relocation work for my situation?

    enough to go over stuff
The relocation moves them so they are strait up and down.

not quite...it's a 9* angle of the shock and they are both facing \ of the rear axle

Glen for your situation it may help but the relocation is for 12" shocks. You would need to buy new 12" shocks and relocate them. The 12" shocks being used in the relocation kit are 2.0 not 2.5 like you have. If I were you I would maybe try a different leaf pack to see if it is that Deaver pack that you are running.

Hey Dave, so I talked to yoga Dan at wheelers off road in Oregon, where I got my icons, and apparently quite a few people have this same issue. He recommended taking off the one band that is hitting the shock. Removing just one won't hurt and should stop the rubbing. I'll give it a try so I don't trash these expensive mofos.

yes sir. Alex I told you before...Do it right the first time. If you are dead set on LT then save up and go LT. 12" relocation is gonna net you 2" more rear travel but will cost close to $1,000 (new shocks, new leaf pack, extended brake lines, new bump stops, the BAMF kit, installation (needs to be welded).

Good call! Taking off one of the leafs? or the band that wraps around the leafs (whatever you call that thing "clamp"?) For some reason the Deavers rub the 2.5s and I'm not sure why? Where exactly is the shock body contacting the leaf springs?

Yeah Glen those 2.5s are badass man...I know for sure better than the 2.0s. After wheeling at LG all day I felt the shock body on my 2.0s and could feel them heated up pretty good. I want to get a thermometer or whatever you need to measure the temperature on the shock and see exactly how much I'm heating them up. 2.5s will definitely keep cooler longer after miles and miles of abuse. Definitely worth the extra $$$ if you are gonna be wheeling long distances and running in the desert for sure

Thanks Dave, yeah I remember reading that before I got them. It kinda pushed me in that direction. I need to find some fire roads where I can get a little more speed.
