Can someone with the same configuration as me please confirm that they too have no active/installed TPMS system?
2017 TRD Sport DCSB manual transmission.

    3 things to confirm:

Is there no TPMS light when accessory on?
    Rubber flexible valve stems?
No reset button under dash or tpms access on display screen?

I am pretty sure Canadian Tacomas do not have TPMS. IMHO, TPMS is a PITA, especially if you have winter tires.

TPMS is a US Federal Mandate, all new and used cars sold by dealerships must have working tpms
system at time of sale. if not oem, then retrofitted.

Canadians, on the other hand, know how to check tire pressure. Us burger and bear grease eating fat-F**ks
in USA need system to tell us we are negligent in basic vehicle checks.

My 2014 had it. I had the parts department guy at Toyota check the Tacomas on their lot and they all had it. I just find it odd that only one specific configuration doesn't have it.

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is not a manufacturing requirement on new vehicles sold in Canada, or on imported vehicles.

    Sure we do.

I've had TPMS on the last 5 vehicles, including the Taco. Never had any problems with the systems, and like having them.

The only inconvenience with the Tacoma is that you can't program the truck to "know" about more than four tire pressure monitors at a time, so if you want to do a five tire rotation, one of the tire pressure sensors will not be talking to the truck.

OP, I've got a '16 TRD Sport auto, long bed, with the tech upgrade package. I don't know whether the TPMS was part of the tech upgrade package... might have been.

According to Toyota 2017 specs - some Tacoma models do have TPMS, others do not. Here is a screenshot of the spec chart showing my 4x4 DCSB does indeed have TPMS, however the light does not come on when I installed 4 snow tires with no TPMS sensors.

Huh. I was under the impression that all TRD, Limited, Pro models had TPMS... it's such a basic feature.

Keep in mind that TPMS may work without sensors in the wheels, too. The vehicle would simply use the ABS/braking system to detect a slower-spinning wheel and throw a low-tire alert. My '05 330Ci worked that way.

I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota took this shortcut on some trucks, but still called it TPMS. Just like the hill-rollback-assist shortcut on OffRoad and Pro models vs. the Sports.

Try actually dropping your tire pressure by a significant amount in one tire (say, down to 15PSI) and drive around the block. You just might see a light come on the dash.
