I am getting married this coming June, and my buddies have decided were going to a lake for my bachelor party. we've decided to go to shasta. The weekend were going is may 18-20. Is there any where we have to check out, bars, marinas? None of us have ever been there so it's all new to us. Were taking my boat so were going to be on the water all day, but will need something to do at night. Also we've got a cabin rented at Tsasdi resort. Anyone know anything about that place? Thanks guys, and maybe we'll see someone up there.

I went up there for a vacation a couple years back with my family. I don't know about the night life there as I wasn't 21 yet but I can tell you the small mouthed bass fishing at the lake was pretty damn good. Using these lures I pulled in plenty of bass for dinner with ease.

I was gonna say get a houseboat and party on that. Use your boat for the day.

No worries about over-doing it either (as long as the boat is secure).

Don't know anything about the nightlife in Redding/Lake Shasta, been to broke since I moved here to go out.

BUT IMO the best way to drink in this part of the state is go out in the woods with your buddies and trucks and tailgate up to a big ol bon fire and get smashed. That's just me though... beer pong outside is fun too.

If you feel like going wheeling hit me up, there is a decent run at the OHV by the lake

Thanks guys. My buddies wanted to get a houseboat, but they are too much and I wouldnt let them spend that. I spent a halloween in Chico a couple years ago, that was an interesting trip. Because of that trip I am banned from the motel 6 in chico, for from what the security guard said was to be forever. hahaha. We will probably go into at least Redding on Saturday night and see what we can stir up. Mainly just looking to relax, do some wakeboarding and get a little drink on.

    Stock.. For now.
Like Jay said, nightlife in Redding is blah. Depending on which bar you go too, people tend to lean towards violence. There isn't much to do in town. If you can, find a spot around the lake and camp out. And if you can, try to stay away from the Shell gas station, (in Redding) due to having "bad" gas.
