    The whole point of the switch is a manually activated power interrupt, remote activation is kind of the complete opposite.

    Granted the remote switching switch could fail as can all things mechanical, but having a secondary remote option for the same concept doesn't change the core function. A faulty carling switch will still draw heaps less power than a potential parasitic draw from a winch.

    Word, thanks! That'd be cool. I like the idea of keeping my winch cold until I need it. The in-cab switch is just more convenient than popping my hood, and I already have a switch that says "winch power" so I might as well use it.
