In the dimensional drawing from Blue Sea, both the 6006 (single battery version used in this kit) and the 6007, are listed in the bottom right box. You can go online to Blue Sea to get other info if needed too.

Yes sir - as @mtip noted above, it will fit! I’ve had a few people in the past use this switch with no problems

@Gilmorec61 - thank you for the prompt response. Also your website states that the kit comes with a 2 gauge wire for the positive battery terminal. Is that 2AWG or 2|0 AWG? 2AWG is only rated for 120A whereas 2|0AWG is rated for 200A. Most 10000lb winches can draw up to 350A or more. Is it safe to use that size wire for that much current?

    Absolutely!

Yes, it does come with 2AWG wire and not 2|0AWG wire.

It is safe to use; I personally have not seen any winch come out of the box with wiring larger than 2AWG from the manufacturer (not to say this isn't the case, I just personally haven't seen larger than 2AWG wire on the Smittybilt, Warn, Badlands winches I've installed) .

I wish I had a more thought out, calculated explanation for you (and hopefully I will later), but what I can say now is I personally have had zero issues with the kit I have on my truck that I have used probably 100+ times at this point. I've also had no issues arise for the wire size being insufficient out of the hundreds of kits I have sold.

A quick search netted this Wire Size calculator and with only a 2% voltage drop, at a draw of 500 Amps, the 18" 2AWG wire is plenty sufficient with nearly 2 feet to spare.

Hope this helps for the time being, I hope to have a more concise answer for you later, and I'll also add something to the 'Tech Talks' section of the website for future reference for any others who may have a similar concern once I get something put together for you.

@Gilmorec61 - Understood! However, I think I will go with Option 3 and make my own wire. I have a spool of 1AWG lying around from my Dual Battery install. Do you have any discount code for TW members?

    Good morning TW!

I have a small price adjustment announcement to make, applying to our Option 1 & 2 kits, effective May 15th, 2023.

I have a new manufacturer producing the 12V lead (going from the battery to the BSS switch) resulting in the price increase.

Previously, leads were produced through a combination of a manufacturer and myself. The manufacturer would provide me with the leads to the specified length and end lugs appropriately crimped, and I would perform the cable dressing (sheathing and heat shrinking) in-house. Now, the entire manufacturing process is performed by the supplier, with some new features to note below.

    New 12V lead features:
    • Fully manufactured in the USA
    • SGX wiring (vs SGT). SGX wiring provides a higher temperature rating.
    • Tinned OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) Wiring (vs OFC). Tinned OFC allows for increased corrosion resistance.
    • HD end lugs/eyelets
Otherwise, all other specifications of the lead remain unchanged. This does NOT imply that the previous leads were inferior, these new leads just have some notable improvements.

All kits ordered since March 11th have shipped with the new lead, and all kits ordered from here on out, will come with the new lead.

The price of the Option 1 & 2 kits will increase by $5 beginning May 15th. All kits ordered now through then at the original price will get the new lead with their kits.

If there are any questions regarding any of the above, please don’t hesitate to reach out! Thanks to all for your support thus far!

Comparison pictures below, new lead on the top, previous lead on the bottom:

I bought mine a while back, just realized I never put a pic up in the thread. Been on the truck for a little over 2 years, zero problems. Completely happy with it.

I think I'm going to have to move it though, I have dual battery kit that was given to me that I've had for about two years as well, and if I do install it I'll need to find another place to mount the winch cutoff.

I'm just seeing this - man I love it, thanks for the awesome words and support!

Ahhh the good ole dual battery - I think there are a few folks on this thread that have ran it with a dual battery setup. If they had to relocate it, I believe they moved the bracket to the opposite side of the engine bay, mounted to the same area of the core support there.

Last day to order before the price increase!!

Note that while the TRD and Winch Power brackets are currently out of stock, they are available for pre-order. Just place your order per usual, and they will ship as soon as I receive the next batch, which should be by the end of this coming week.

    Y'all have a blessed week ahead!! :):D

Just installed mine today. Its a simple install but can get a little frustrating due to the clearances. The bracket fits the switch perfectly and the option to mount the buzzer to the side was a nice touch. I think it looks pretty clean despite all the wires I have going back and forth to my battery. Overall a good product.

Probably going to ditch the dual battery idea, but thanks again for the great product. I’m using that area up by the firewall for an OBA unit, which will get way more use than a dual battery.

I have a dual battery too but I mounted the second battery on the passenger side fender (behind the airbox). In my opinion that balances the weight of the two batteries better and also does not put too much stress on one fender.

I had been going back and forth on doing exactly that but decided an OBA is going to get more use than a second battery.
