Hey, what's the largest width of 16" wheel and largest tire I can put on a stock 2004 Tacoma 4WD without rubbing or doing any serious mods? I bought a set of 16x10's -24mm offset because they were a great deal thinking they would fit with my 265/70 16's........now I'm not so sure. the guy at the tire store told me they would.

But what's widest rim w/o rubbing? Will 16x10 fit? Should I get wider tire?

Do not run 265's on a 10" wide rim.

Check the tire manufacturers site to see what their specific sizes are approved for, rim width wise

Will a 22'' or 24'' fit on a 2011 double cab as well?

Welcome to TW. Fittment has oohing to do with wheel diameter. You just need to find a ~30.5 to 31.5" diameter tire for the wheel.
