alrighty...here's the low down. over the past week and a half i have had a mix up with the dealership on a spring-bolt that i ordered for the flange on the end of the header. i had a terrible exhaust leak without it. the only reason i had to order one was because the threads on the stock one were stripped out. (don't know how that happened, think a buddy of mine helping me with the install dropped something heavy on it) but none the less it is sleeting here in McDavid FL so i'm waiting until tonight to put it in. i'll post up my pictures and finished product later on tonight. sorry for the wiat dudes

Wow, you're getting sleet down there?? I went through McDavid several years ago on my way to Pensacola. It was a really nice drive down through there. LOL, you would have been about 3 or 4 when I took that trip! ;)

just to throw my 2 cents in on the matter, I've had the headers on for about 6 months and there is noticable difference on the top end. I left the 2 1/2" pipe back and welded on a Flowmaster Super 44 muffler with a turn down right before the rear axle.I also installed a URD MAF calibrator. Its hard to tell as far as low end power but once it hits about 2700-3000 rpms its a huge difference. And damn are these things loud too! Combined with my cold air intake its almost like running open headers and full throttle! haha

hey sorry guys i've just been busy. i'm actually at work right now...between that and my classes i have hardly a second to spare but i'm going to try and post up some pics of the install. there isn't much to show but i plan on putting up a copy of the instructions that LCE sent me as well. as far as performance, this thing will pay for itself in about a year with how much driving i do. it's awesome in my opinion and the best money i've spent on my truck in a while.

No rush on pics as that has been done before in other threads, more so on the performance and any improvements though minor we still probably are interested. You say "pay for itself" do you mean your getting better gas mileage now I assume? This kind of info is desired because all the other threads ended before anyone had given any feedback after install and results besides the butt dyno charts.

well as for the dyno i have no idea when i will be able to get measurements done. but i have filled up a few times since the install of the header and where i was getting between 22 and 23 around town i am now getting 25+ around town. i can get just over 27 on the highway and close to 28 sometimes if i drive carefully, but with regular driving habits 25mpg of mostly town driving is no problem for me.

its amazing how much of a difference there is between the LC headers and the stock headers.

I really want to do this mod in the future, definitely high up on my list, it sounds like it is worth it. Thanks for the info man!

Yes the stock pipe collector isn't that bad really but the equal length tubes on the LC is very good.

Just put one of those on my truck. Install was very straightforward. I removed the factory manifold through the bottom but was unable to squeeze the LC in that way. I had to pull out the airbox and install through the top. It took just slightly over an hour from start to finish with eating my lunch during. Build quality was top notch except for the collector, it's kind of a mess in there. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and the performance gain.

Are you sure you need to use the springs for the bolts? The DT header does not require them. Make sure you remember to take off the doughnut gasket from the stock header, lol. I almost forgot that when I had my header.
